Volunteering and awareness of the integration of EUL within the local community of Lefke is important for the University. Therefore, EUL has in place various projects which are aimed at instilling corporate social responsibility for all members of the EUL family. The titles of some of the recent student projects include: “Meeting the Needs of Stray Animals”; “No Child Left Without Cinema”; “Art Saturday”; “My School is Amazing”; “Co-operation for the Library”; “Science Fair”; Give Life”; “Love Overcomes Every Obstacle”; “A Drop of Colour for Fading Hopes”; “Mediterranean” and “EUL is Around Us”.
Orientation Week at the beginning of each term is not there just to welcome new students but to inform them on every aspect of university life. Orientation begins with ‘meet and greet’ receptions for newly enrolled students. Social activities, introductory tours and various other informative events are aimed at providing a good understanding of the university, its functions and wider aspects of North Cyprus life, infrastructure and culture.
As a modern and innovative higher education institution EUL is proactive in giving students the opportunity to participate in artistic, creative, cultural and sporting events both on campus and in the local community.

Extracurricular activity is an essential part of campus life and the Student Clubs are organized by the student community to develop their individual skills, team work and the fulfilment of their social and cultural needs. At EUL there are currently 45 student clubs. All students are eligible for membership of any club and they can initiate new clubs within an established procedure.
