Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department
Psychological Counseling and Guidance is one of the occupational fields needed today and in the future. Our department graduates are trained to have the knowledge and skills to work competently at all human-related jobs in both private and public sector. Various courses in the department as well as courses specific to psychological counseling such as vocational guidance, individual counseling, group counseling, psychological tests are given practically. Our goal is to build up and support our graduates to acquire the competencies they need in order to be able to work successfully, not only as guidance teachers in schools but also in many other fields.
Arabic Language Teaching
As one of the world’s most spoken languages in the world, Arabic is spoken by over 400 million people around the globe. Our department’s main goal is to give students insight on Arabic language, its history, culture, philosophy, literature, religion and societies. We take responsibility in teaching Arabic in pursuit of training qualified staff who are able to teaching Arabic in line with professional standards to speakers of other languages.
Turkish Language Teaching
The Department of Turkish Language Teaching aims at educating individuals to gain literary and linguistics knowledge of Turkish language upon which they will be able to teach Turkish efficiently in their area at respective levels. Students who have successfully complete their courses will be able start their business life equipped with the capacity to utilize communication technologies pedagogical knowledge in their field.
In addition, our department is committed to educating students who believe in democracy, follow Atatürk’s principles and revolutionary ideas, are respectful to spiritual and national values, have awareness of moral and cultural values, have analytical and scientific thinking skills, are researchers, and are environmentally sensitive.
Successful graduates of Turkish Language Teaching Department can teach Turkish and Grammar in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. They can also successfully teach many other subjects such as drama, speaking and writing, literature, literary arts, fast reading techniques, writing arts, Turkish dialects and literary texts. With the professional knowledge and skills, they gained, graduates will have the opportunity to become writers and poets.
The Turkish Language Teaching Department is comprised of 8 semesters, 4 years in total.
It is approved by Yök; in addition, graduates have equal rights with the relevant departments in Turkey.
Private Education Teaching
The main aim of this program is to educate contemporary researching academicians who will teach individuals with special needs both at pre-schools and primary schools.
English Language Teaching
The department principal’s mission is to raise highly qualified English language teachers who can teach English both in Cyprus and any other country in the World. The aim of the English Language Teaching Department is to train qualified English teachers and equip them with the necessary theoretical knowledge, skills and strategies in accordance with contemporary standards in order to contribute to the improvement of foreign language education in both local and international contexts. Graduates of our department, with their knowledge, creativity, innovation and professional approach, will be trained to gain the best job opportunities in the competitive environment of the market.
- Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law commenced its mission in 2016-2017. As one of the island’s best and young private universities, we established partnerships with universities in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey. In our faculty, Law education is a four-year education span (eight semesters) and the language of education is Turkish. However, students are encouraged to express themselves in foreign languages.
Our faculty’s curriculum largely corresponds with the Turkish law and the principles of the Law programs in Turkey. In this regard, our academic staff have all completed undergraduate and graduate education in Turkey’s law faculties.
The main objective of the Law Faculty in our faculties is to maximize the students’ legal knowledge and visibility. Furthermore, our students’ basic legal education is supported by elective courses that are appropriate for the purpose of providing a current and comprehensive knowledge which a good lawyer should have. Our students are offered various elective courses in economics, politics, sociology and history. Our graduates can continue their careers as faculty members in Turkey and TRNC and can also become attorneys and judges in any public or private sectors. To your information, our faculty does not have any problem diplomas equivalence in Turkey.
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Department of Psychology’s main principle is to give students an insight into psychological education in a unique developmental process that covers a wide range of stages from infancy to adulthood. Moreover, it enlarges our understanding of all aspects of human nature and psychology and develops skills for employability in vast organizations.
In addition to the preparatory courses, the program includes courses in research techniques, statistics, resource browsing and report writing that support mandatory courses and enable research.
The skills that our graduate students will gain are manifold:

- Faculty of Religious Sciences
Faculty of Religious Sciences commenced education in Cyprus in 2015. The Faculty of Religious Sciences is the first faculty on the island to open a Theology Department.
Our department’s curriculum has equivalency with the Departments of Theology in Turkey. Arabic language and Holy Quran courses are preparatory and thus students have to complete these courses prior to joining the department.
Our Arabic lessons in the department are taught individually by professionals who are native speakers of Arabic. The Department of Theology continues as 4-year and provides 100 % scholarships. The academic staff aims at educating students to have a high level of academic achievement and social and entrepreneurial goals.
