The European University of Lefke was founded by the Cyprus Science Foundation in 1989 and opened in 1990. Our University provides a unique intellectual and cultural environment in the Lefke region located in the north-west of Cyprus.

There are two main visions of The European University of Lefke. The first is to make the institute a “European University” offering a diploma that meets worldwide standards; secondly, is to continue focusing on quality education and student satisfaction without making concessions on quality. In other words, it is not to produce an influx of an unemployed graduate group, neither foreseen by the global market nor needed by the economy, but instead to endorse an educational philosophy based on qualitative competency. Accordingly with such a vision, it is aimed to produce students equipped to handle the competitive, outside world.

Admission Procedure:

Applicants should hold a “SECONDARY SCHOOL CERTIFICATE (HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA which is equivalent to HIGHER EDUCATION CERTIFICATE) based on a minimum of 12 years of schooling t private or state schools, Higher Secondary School Certificate or Senior School Certificate or successful completion of recognized pre-tertiary or foundation programme approved by the related overseas authorities with overall grade point average of at least 50% such as or 5 out of 10, or 10 out of 20 etc.

All international students are required to fill out the EUL Application Form that is available on the website. Once completed, prospective students should send the form to the EUL International Admissions Office along with the documents specified below:                                                 
1) High School Diploma for undergraduate studies and Bachelor Degree Diploma for postgraduate studies;

2) Transcripts of courses completed;

3) passport copies;

4) $50 application fee;

5) proof of funding;

6) English language qualifications such as TOEFL or IELTS min. score of 5.0 and above. In case of students not holding such qualifications, they will be required to pass the EUL English Proficiency Examination (THE SAME APPLIES FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS).

Campus Life & Residence Halls:

Social and Cultural Life in EUL;
Every year, Spring Festivals are organized as an anual tradition at the  European University of Lefke. In these festivals the students of the university are aimed to have social and cultural activities with solidarity between students and staff members.  Among the activities that are held during Spring Session, there is also the organization of  International Student’s Week.  This event is a perfect opportunity to have international students present their cultures of their country and exchange cultural attractions with other students.  The following establishments are an essential part of everyday campus life.

Accommodation:

The Dean of Students:

The Dean of Student’s office plays an important role in assessing, maintaining, and enriching a sense of community at the European University of Lefke. 
The office provides assistance to students, faculty members, administrators, and parents who are navigating their way through various campus procedures. They develop and support guidelines and policies and at the same time, educate students to be accountable for their actions in order to promote a safe campus environment.
They enthusiastically support the academic mission of the institution and provide a variety of opportunities for students to interact with faculty members.
There is an annual election at the beginning of each academic year among all students to choose student president and council committee.  The student president takes part in university senate meetings and  brings students voice to the senate. Finally, they recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our outstanding students and student organizations.
The Dean of Student’s office is concerned with the overall quality of student’s life at E.U.L for all undergraduate and graduate students. Preparing students for leadership in a global, diverse and changing society and also cultivating a caring and supportive campus environment.  There are over 21 Active Student Clubs on campus which are also helped run by the Dean of Student’s Office.
