For all visitors, passports must be valid for six months and have two clear pages free. The citizens of European Union (EU) nations, CIS countries, Turkey, USA, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Iraq do not require visa to visit North Cyprus. All other nationals should check their position with regard to passports and visas with the nearest Turkish Embassy or Office of Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Since all flights to North Cyprus have a stop-over in Turkey (Istanbul or Ankara), all students and visitors must check their country’s transit visa regulations for Turkey as well. Visitors who do not wish to have their passports stamped by the authorities on arrival in North Cyprus may request a stamped visa form, which is loosely inserted into the passport and removed on departure.
Students/Visitors can get to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by air or sea travel. All flights to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are connected through Turkey. This means even the final destination is TRNC all flights first stop at Turkey. There are regular flights from the major cities in Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya) to TRNC that only take between 75 to 45 minutes journey time.
Visa applications should be done either to TRNC Representative Office (http://www.trncinfo.com) or to Turkish Embassy / Consulate (http://www.mfa.gov.tr) in your country. The tuition fee stated on the acceptance letter has to be paid first before applying for the visa. A copy of the payment bank decont should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office for a confirmation of your acceptance to be sent to the Turkish / TRNC Embassy in your country. Saudi Arabia : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.
